The Grande Albergo Maugeri hotel is housed in a modern city-centre property located in the historic Piazza Garibaldi, 200 metres from the 17th-century Gothic cathedral. This three-storey hotel features 45 guestrooms, all of which feature modern, pale green decor and parquet floors. All rooms offer air conditioning, cable television with pay movies, dial- up Internet connections, safes and minibars.
After a day's sightseeing, guests can enjoy a glass of wine in the hotel's American Bar. The Opera Prima Restaurant offers authentic Sicilian seafood specialities, international dishes and a selection of wines, served in an informal, modern Italian-style setting. The hotel's conference hall and four meeting rooms are able to accommodate up to 250 delegates. On request, the hotel can arrange a course of revitalising treatments at the Acireale Thermal Spa, 800 metres away. Staff at the 24-hour front desk can arrange dry-cleaning and babysitting services, look after valuables in the safe-deposit box and provide room service.
