Beschreibung

Location. The De Curtis bed and breakfast is located in Catania, Sicily, within 500 metres of the Roman amphitheatre and two kilometres from the beach. Catania's main train station is 50 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Housed in a former 17th- century palace, the De Curtis Bed and Breakfast affords views over a picturesque garden square and fountains. Hotel amenities include wireless Internet access in public areas, tour assistance and room service (limited hours). Airport transfers can be arranged on request (surcharge).

The De Curtis serves a complimentary breakfast every morning, and coffee is served in the lobby.

The local area offers opportunities for swimming and water sports.

Guestrooms. The De Curtis Bed and Breakfast features 14 guestrooms over two floors. Décor is traditional yet simple, with white walls, tiled floors, premium bedding and reproduction antique furnishings. All rooms are air conditioned and include wireless Internet access, telephones, televisions and bathrooms with showers.

Expert Tip. Food is just one good reason to head to Sicily. A traditional Catanian dish, Pasta alla Norma is a first course made with spaghetti, tomato sauce, fried aubergine, basil and lots of ricotta cheese. The dish was named after the Catanian composer Vincenzo Bellini. His opera 'Norma' opened the Massimo Bellini theatre, 400 metres from the hotel, in 1890.

From Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA):
Distance to De Curtis Bed and Breakfasts is 12 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The number 457 city bus departs every 20 minutes to central Catania. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis to Catania should cost around 40 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
