The Hotel Plinius is a traditional Italian property situated just 200 metres from Lake Como, and 500 metres from the historic Duomo. The 28 air-conditioned guestrooms feature beech-style furniture with simple, plain fabrics. All offer desks, direct-dial telephones, dial-up Internet access, satellite television and minibars.
Guests can enjoy a drink or a coffee in the onsite café, and can sample regional cuisine in the Restaurant Posta, in the nearby sister hotel. The multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with enquiries about the city, and provide a range of services including currency exchange, and secretarial and translation services. For events and meetings, guests can use small meeting rooms, and can take advantage of the banquet facilities. There is also 24-hour room service, and other practical amenities include nearby parking, laundry services and dry cleaning. The hotel is in an excellent position to explore the area; Como's Duomo cathedral is just 500 metres away, and guests can discover more about Como's main export at the Como Silk Museum which is 700 metres away. The picturesque lakeside village of Brunate is five kilometres distance, and those wishing to travel further afield can visit Milan, 40 kilometres away. Milan Malpensa Airport is 40 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.

Anfahrt

The Malpensa Express rapid train runs every 30 minutes to and from Milan Cadorna railway station; the airport railway station is at the -one level of terminal One. Guests should take the train to Como San Giovanni train station, which is 200 metres from the hotel. Various bus and shuttle services run to and from destinations in and around Milan, including Central station and Linate Airport. Taxis to the city centre charge in the region of 65 EUR.
Driving directions: From the airport take the A9 motorway in the direction of Como/Chiasso and exit at Como Nord. Follow signs to Como town centre, and then to the historical quarter.
