Overlooked by the imposing Monte Solare, the Villa di Monte Solare occupies a patrician villa surrounded by gardens and nestled among the olive groves, woods and vineyards of the Umbrian countryside. Antique furniture and plush fabrics in soft, neutral colors complement original fireplaces, terracotta tiled floors and exposed beams in the 19 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites, all of which have minibars, direct-dial phones and satellite television.
Guests can admire the panoramic views of the surrounding Umbrian countryside from the terraces around both outdoor pools, or wander through the romantic Italian walled garden and visit the orangery and 16th-century chapel. From wine tasting to concerts and cookery demonstrations, the hotel offers something different each evening for entertainment. The hotel also offers a wide choice of aesthetical treatments and therapies to regenerate body and mind at its spa and wellness centre, Le Muse, which only serves the hotel's guests. With a large, open fireplace, antique furniture and terracotta tiled floors, the hotel's restaurant maintains many of the building's original features. Traditional Italian dishes with a contemporary twist are on the menu for lunch and dinner.

Wine tours, hiking, cycling and golfing excursions and cultural tours are all organized by the hotel. A golf course and horse riding facility are both 20 kilometers from the hotel. There is a clay tennis court within the hotel grounds. Sightseers will enjoy the numerous attractions of Perugia, the nearest town, 18 kilometers from the hotel. As well as shops and restaurants, attractions in Perugia include the National Archaeological Museum and the Piazza 4 Novembre, where the 13th century Priors' Palace, the Gothic Cathedral and the Great Fountain are to be found. Florence Peretola Airport (FLR) is 200 kilometers from the hotel. Hotel allows small pets only.

From Florence Peretola Airport:
The hotel can organize a shuttle service from the airport or from Perugia railway station if contacted in advance, for a fee. Florence Airport has good connections to the center of the city, which can be reached in about 15 minutes by taxi, and in about 20 minutes by the Fly by Bus service between the airport and Santa Maria Novella railway station.

A car is recommended for exploring the area.

Schöne Lage, antikes Landgut

Wir waren einige Tage im Mai in diesem Hotel, Lage und Erreichbarkeit der touristischen Ziele ist sehr gut. In dem sehr gut erhaltenen und bestens gemanagten Herrensitz haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Restaurant sehr teuer, Frühstücksei kostet extra. Trotzdem: uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert! Alternative Restaurantmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung überall vorhanden.
