Location. The family-run Hotel Villa Thomas is housed in a Mediterranean-style villa with gardens, one kilometre from the town of Forio on the island of Ischia. Citara Beach is two kilometres from the hotel, and Mount Epomeo is six kilometres away. Naples International Airport (NAP) is 20 kilometres distance, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
Hotel Features.There is an outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace in the hotel gardens, which are filled with flowers and have views across the Tyrrhenian Sea. Internet connections are available in the air- conditioned public areas (surcharge) and a safe-deposit box is offered at the front-desk. There is complimentary parking for those arriving by car.

Restaurant Villa Thomas serves local specialities and Italian dishes.

Guestrooms.The 38 guestrooms, over three floors, have light decor and simple furnishings. French windows lead to balconies, and bathrooms have showers and bidets. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.

Expert Tip. Take a stroll through historic Forio, one kilometre from the hotel. There are remnants of medieval and Baroque influences and the 15th-century Torrione Tower offers excellent views.

Anfahrt

Getting there.Taxis are available from outside arrivals and typically cost 20 EUR to the city centre. The Alibus shuttle runs to Naples' Stazione Centrale (central station) and Piazza Municipio for the port every 30 minutes. Tickets cost 3 EUR. There are also buses to Sorrento. From Naples Port (at the bottom end of Piazza Municipio) ferries and hydrofoils sail to Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and the islands of Capri and Ischia. All prices subject to change. The best way to see round the island is to hire a car.
