Location.Perched above the sea and set in lush gardens, the Hotel Parco Cartaromana is a modern property offering views of Cartaromana Bay, and is situated 800 metres from the beach and Ischia Ponte's Old Town. Naples Airport is 40 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time to the hotel of three hours.
Hotel Features. Surrounded by gardens and offering panoramic views of the sea and Aragonese Castle, the hotel features two outdoor pools and four sun terraces with loungers and parasols, and a poolside bar offers refreshment. The hotel also offers a spa tub and an indoor pool, and further relaxation is available at the health spa, which offers treatments including facials, body peels and massages. The hotel has an arrangement with a local private beach club, where guests can reserve deckchairs and parasols, and a complimentary shuttle bus runs to the thermal centre's hot springs. Staff at the front desk can arrange excursions around the island and trips to Capri, Pompeii and Naples. The hotel offers complimentary car parking.

The hotel's Mediterranean restaurant overlooks the pool and serves traditional Italian dishes and island specialities, including fresh fish from the port, accompanied by wine from local vineyards.

The hotel has two clay tennis courts and tennis coaching is also offered.

Guestrooms. The Hotel Parco Cartaromana offers 30 guestrooms located on five floors, all of which have cool white and mint decor with ceiling fans and tiled floors and open onto balconies overlooking the sea and castle; amenities include televisions, direct-dial phones and bathrooms with showers.

Expert Tip. The Old Town of Ischia Ponte is 800 metres from the hotel and its lively narrow streets are strewn with workshops, small shops, restaurants and pubs. This is where the 'bridge' begins, the walkway that leads to the impressive rock on which the Aragonese Castle rises. The Sant'Anna Rocks are 200 metres away, and the Tower of Michelangelo, now a museum and events venue, is 300 metres away.

Anfahrt

Getting there. Buses run from the airport to Naples train station and the port (Piazza Municipio). Taxis are also available from the airport. Hydrofoils and ferries run from the port to the island. From Ischia's port, take bus number C12 or C14 to Cartaromana. Taxis are also available from the port to the hotel and should take around ten minutes. The town centre and beach are accessible on foot or using the local bus services, which stop outside the hotel. A complimentary shuttle bus runs to the spa.

Driving directions. Take the ferry for Ischia Port from the Beverello Pier in Naples. Disembark at Ischia Port and follow the signs for Ischia Ponte - Castello Aragonese. When the castle is in sight, turn right before Via Seminario onto Via Nuova Cartaromana. Continue for one kilometre. The Parco Cartaromana Hotel is on the left, accessible via Via Nuova Cartaromana n. 44.
