Location. The Hotel Griso is located in Lecco, Italy, 100 metres from the banks of the south-eastern branch of Lake Lecco. Como's resort town of Bellagio is 20 kilometres away, and Lecco train station is one kilometre from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Positioned between the lake and the mountains, the hotel is a white, modern building on five levels which are accessible by lift. The air- conditioned lobby, where guests can watch television, offers a 24-hour front desk. A porter/bellhop can provide assistance with luggage, and there is complimentary parking available.

Decorated in caramel and cream tones, Hotel Griso's gourmet restaurant Il Griso offers views over the lake and surrounding mountains. The restaurant serves traditional Italian dishes specialising in grilled and spit-roasted game and fish, and a complimentary continental buffet breakfast is provided daily. The lounge/bar situated on the upper floor leads through to the Winter Garden, offering further views of the lake and playing host to frequent live music events.

Guestrooms. The 43 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in a contemporary style in neutral tones and contain separate sitting areas. Balconies offer views over Lake Lecco and the surrounding countryside. All rooms are equipped with satellite television and complimentary Internet access. Other amenities include refrigerators, direct-dial phones, desks, minibars, and safes. Bathrobes, slippers and complimentary bottled water are also provided.

Expert Tip. The central point of Lecco is the town's principle square, Piazza XX Settembre. The dominant building is the Mayor's Palace, but the main attractions are the craft markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, that have been running since 1149.

From Milan Linate Airport (LIN):
Distance to Hotel Griso is 56 kilometres, approximately 50 minutes' drive.

Getting there. An airport shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes to Milan's Stazione Centrale (central station). The fare is 3 EUR for a single ticket. From Stazione Centrale, trains run to Lecco. The hotel is situated one kilometre from the station. Taxis direct to Hotel Griso from the airport cost approximately 90 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Inexpensive hydrofoils connect Lecco and Como with many stops in between. Bus services run between Malgrate and Lecco.
