Location. Set next to Padua's exhibition centre, the Hotel Galileo Padova is a modern property located one kilometre from St Antony's Church and the Scrovegni Chapel. Venice Marco Polo Airport is 35 kilometres from the hotel, approximately 30 minutes by car.
Hotel Features.The hotel's Wellness Centre, opening in June 2007, houses a fully equipped gym, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath and a massage room, and offers a range of beauty treatments. The hotel's Congress Centre has a range of meeting facilities with audio-visual equipment, and those arriving by car can use complimentary parking. Further amenities include dry cleaning facilities and a multilingual concierge service.

The Hotel Galileo Padua offers two dining options: Venezia is an elegant, contemporary restaurant serving a range of local and international dishes along with an extensive wine list, and Café Galileo is a modern café offering snacks, drinks and light refreshments.

Guestrooms. The 113 guestrooms and 50 apartments feature contemporary decor finished with sleek wood and crisp white linen. All include air conditioning, wireless Internet access, satellite television, direct-dial phones, minibars and safes. Bathrooms have bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. The Scrovegni Chapel, located one kilometre from the hotel, is home to the cycle of frescoes painted in vibrant cobalt blue by Giotto in the 14th century. Consisting of 38 scenes, the frescoes depict the lives of the Virgin and Christ, and are considered to be among the most important examples of early Renaissance art.

Anfahrt

Getting there.The hotel can arrange transport from the airport (surcharge). Alternatively a shuttle bus runs from the airport to Mestre railway station, and from here trains to Padua depart approximately every 40 minutes. Taxis are available from outside the airport. The city's historic centre can be explored on foot. Alternatively a public ACAP bus service operates.

Driving directions.From the airport take the A4 Venice-Milan in the direction of Milan, and exit for Padova East.
