Beschreibung

Location. The Astoria Palace Hotel is a modern, 14-storey property located in the city of Palermo, one kilometre from the harbour and two kilometres from the city centre. Palermo Airport is 30 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.
Hotel Features. The hotel's onsite relaxation facilities include a steam room and a range of revitalising massage and beauty treatments. Staff at the 24-hour front desk are on hand to provide tour assistance, and the hotel's public areas are equipped with wireless Internet access. Practical amenities include airport transfers (surcharge), room service (limited hours), express check-in/out and dry- cleaning services. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.

The Astoria Palace's restaurant, Cedro, offers a varied menu encompassing traditional Sicilian dishes as well as international favourites, while the American-themed cocktail bar serves snacks and light meals.

Guestrooms. The 326 air-conditioned guestrooms are defined by colourful modern decor with functional furnishings. All open onto balconies and come equipped with cable television with premium channels, clock radios, direct-dial phones with voicemail, high-speed Internet connections, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, telephones and complimentary toiletries.

Expert Tip. The cathedral, three kilometres away, is an impressive example of Norman architecture. Piazza Pretoria is the site of a beautiful fountain, designed by 16th-century sculptors.

Anfahrt

Getting there. Taxis are available outside the airport terminal and a typical fare to the hotel should cost around 35 EUR. The underground provides a cheaper alternative. Alight at Giachery station, 300 metres from the Astoria Palace.

Driving directions. From the airport, take the A29 toward Palermo. After 25 kilometres, exit at Via Belgio and follow signs to the Stadium. On arrival at the Mediterraneo exhibition centre, take Via Monte Pellegrino. The hotel is number 62.
