Location.Hotel Villa Carlotta is a well-restored period building from 1896 and is 3.5 kilometres from the centre of the Sicilian town of Ragusa. The Ibleo Archaeological Museum is 3.5 kilometres from the hotel, and the Ragusa Ibla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is four kilometres away. Ragusa's railway station is three kilometres from the hotel, and Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) is 110 kilometres distance, an approximate driving time of 90 minutes.
Hotel Features.A variety of health and beauty treatments, including massage, are available, and there is also fitness equipment and landscaped gardens with an outdoor swimming pool and poolside bar. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer the use of a safe-deposit box, while other practical amenities include complimentary newspapers in the air-conditioned lobby, air-conditioned public areas, all-hours room service, and complimentary parking.

Restaurant La Fenice serves traditional Sicilian specialities with a modern twist, including Senapo (local vegetables with smoked salt cod), in a contemporary setting with low-level lighting.

Guestrooms.The 26 guestrooms, over one floor, have minimalist decor with Mediterranean influences and contemporary Italian furnishings. Expert Tip. Have a stroll through the winding streets of Ragusa Ibla, four kilometres from the hotel. It was built after the earthquake of 1693. The houses are beautiful, but many of them are deserted; lending the area a slightly spooky feel.
