Location. The Villa Germaine is a country hotel located in Ariccia, Italy, three kilometres from the Alban hills and lakes, and 25 kilometres from Rome's city centre. Campoleone train station can be found two kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Nestled within the Ninfeo parkland and housed in a country villa, this rustic hotel has traditional Italian decor with terracotta floor tiling, antique furnishings, and warm tones. There is a library and wine cellar on site and in the hotel grounds, a seasonal swimming pool. Onsite parking is free. A complimentary shuttle service to Campoleone train station is available to guests.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily at the Villa Germaine. Salone Germaine has a wine cellar stocked with regional wines, and offers Italian and regional cuisine sourced locally and based on organic ingredients. Drinks can be served al fresco include televisions, minibars, and hair dryers.

There are two meeting rooms on site. High-speed Internet connections and complimentary telephone calls are offered at reception.

Guestrooms. The 10 air-conditioned guestrooms are spread over two floors, and offer panoramic views of the vineyards. Each guestroom features individual decor themed to a floral or fruit motif with warm tones and antique furnishings. Amenities

Expert Tip. Castel Gandolfo is the summer residence of the pope. The papal palace is housed in a 17th century building, rebuilt on the site of the former castle, and there is a Roman bust of the mythical Cyclops Polyphemus, in the inner courtyard.

From Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA):
Distance to Villa Germaine is 18 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The COTRAL bus runs between Arrivals and the Anagnina metro stop (the final stop on line B) every 40 minutes. Single tickets cost 1 EUR. Trains to the local station, Campoleone, run regularly and take about 30 minutes. Licensed white taxis cost around 30 EUR to the Villa Germaine hotel. A shuttle service is available from the hotel at a surcharge to and from the airport.

Getting around. The area can be easily explored on foot, and the area is serviced by train. A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Driving directions. Depart Roma - Ciampino airport.
Continue along the road towards Albano for approximately 5 kilometres.
At the first traffic-light, near Sante Maria delle Mole, continue straight uphill along the Appia road.
At the second traffic light, at Frattochie neighbourhood, turn right onto the Via Nettunense in the direction of Anzio, Nettuno, Aprilia.
After exactly 13 km, there is a sign for Villa Germaine.
Turn right and follow the road to the Villa's gated entrance on the right-hand side.
