Location. Surrounded by Tuscan countryside, the Bagni di Pisa Natural Spa Resort is located in San Giuliano Terme, Italy, 10 kilometres from Pisa. The walled city of Lucca is 15 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. A palatial mansion built in 1743, the Bagni di Pisa Natural Spa Resort opens to a grand lobby with Renaissance-style ceiling frescoes and sweeping velvet curtains. Full of baroque details, the historic hotel offers a spa with indoor and outdoor swimming pools offering hydromassage therapy. More than 100 treatments are available in the therapy rooms. There is also a natural sauna cave, heated to 38 c. Business facilities and conference spaces are provided, and the 24-hour front desk is operated by multilingual staff who can assist with concierge services and the use of a safe-deposit box. Wireless Internet access is available in the public areas and parking is free.

A complimentary buffet breakfast is served in the Bagni di Pisa's restaurant, which specialises in Tuscan dishes. Low-calorie meals are also a speciality. There is a large piano bar with frescoed ceiling which offers a selection of cocktails and has an adjacent terrace, games area, and cigar room.

Guestrooms. The 70 air-conditioned guestrooms have vaulted, frescoed ceilings and period rococo detailing. Amenities include satellite television, wireless Internet access, minibars, and safes. Complimentary toiletries and newspapers are provided. Guests are also invited to use the bathrobes and slippers.

Expert Tip. There are several historic villas in the area, including Villa Le Molina and Villa di Agnano. Many of these villas were built in the 1600s.

Distance to Bagni di Pisa Natural Spa Resort is 15 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis wait outside Arrivals. Alternatively, it is possible to get a train to Pisa Centrale and change for a train to Lucca, getting off at San Giuliano Terme station, one kilometre from the hotel.

Getting around. There is an extensive railway network connecting San Giuliano Terme with Pisa, Lucca, and other cities. It is also possible to walk around the hotel's extensive grounds and into San Giuliano Terme.
