Location. The former palace Grand Hotel Continental is located in the shopping district of Siena, Italy, within 10 metres of Tolomei Palace and 200 metres from Piazza del Campo square. Getting around. The Grand Hotel Continental in on Banchi Di Sopra in Siena. Florence is compact and easily explored on foot. There are traffic restrictions in the city centre, and parking is expensive. Bright orange buses operate throughout the city centre. Tickets are available at vending machines or from tobacconists. Tickets are sold based on length of time, and are available for one, two or 24 hours. There is a taxi rank in front of Santa Maria Novella Station.
Driving directions. From Florence Vespucci Airport: Take the SP127 and change onto the A1/E35 close to Grassina Ponte a Ema, in the direction of Bologna and Siena. Close to Poggibonsi leave the A1 and follow signs towards Arezzo and Siena Acqua Calda. Take the Superstrada Firenze-Siena and continue into the city centre.
