Location. The Aldebaran Hotel is located in the Val de Noto, five kilometres from the centre of Syracuse on the island of Sicily, Italy. Ortigia is situated six kilometres away and Catania is at a 40 kilometre distance. The nearest train station is five kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Aldebaran Hotel is housed in a 1960s villa which opens to a lush garden and overlooks the countryside. Guests can go for a cooling dip in the outdoor pool, explore the area on bicycles or scooters hired from the hotel and surf the web via the hotel's wireless Internet access. Those arriving by car will find complimentary parking available onsite.

Guests of the Aldebaran can wake up to a complimentary buffet breakfast and enjoy drinks in the hotel bar.

Guestrooms. The nine air-conditioned guestrooms feature simple, modern decor with functional furnishing and include televisions, direct-dial phones, safes and desks. Hair dryers are available on request.

Expert Tip. Noto, located 45 kilometres from the hotel, boasts an historic town centre characterised by crumbling Baroque churches, houses and palaces, all with gold-coloured stone facades. Highlights include the Ducezio Palace, the Duomo and the Villadorata Palace. The town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.
