Monte Tauro is a modern hotel built into the steep cliffs in Taormina, 400 metres from the town centre. Overlooking the sea, the hotel commands stunning views of the coastline from the Gulf of Naxos all the way across to Mount Etna. The 100 air-conditioned guestrooms featuring contemporary decor with sleek modern furniture and parquet floors. All have furnished balconies with sea views and include bathrooms with bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers, cable television with pay movies, complimentary high-speed Internet connections, safes and minibars.
Guests can wine and dine in Restaurant Belvedere, serving Mediterranean cuisine and regional specialities with views of the bay, or visit the poolside grill bar which serves a range of snacks, salads and pastas, as well as grilled fish, lobster, fresh fruit and ice creams. Lazy days can be spent relaxing in the sun on the panoramic terrace bordering the outdoor pool, which is set on the hillside amidst lush Mediterranean vegetation. In the evenings, La Baia bar serves cocktails amidst chic contemporary surroundings and twice a week the hotel offers live piano and string quartet performances. Alternatively room service is available for those wishing to relax in privacy. Multilingual staff can help with concierge services and exchange currency and there are conference rooms for up to 80 people. Valet parking is offered for those arriving by car. The hotel is within 400 metres of the Taormina's main street Corso Umberto and the ancient Greek theatre. The village of Castelmola, which overlooks Taormina, is seven kilometres away and further afield, Mount Etna is 40 kilometres from the hotel. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 50 kilometres and an hour's drive away.

Anfahrt

Interbus run a regular bus service connecting the airport with Taormina. Taxis are also available at the airport. Taormina train station is three kilometres from the hotel.
From Catania Fontanarossa Airport head north on the E45 in the direction of Messina, and exit towards Taormina, following signs for 'Taormina Centro'.
