Location. The Villa Il Glicine Residence is located in Taormina, Italy, 100 metres from Corso Umberto, 400 metres from the ancient Greek theatre, and 900 metres from the funicular to Mazzaro bay. The railway station is four kilometres away. There is a bus stop outside the hotel.
Hotel Features. This recently renovated 19th- century villa is set in lush Mediterranean gardens with views over the bay of Naxos and Mount Etna. The hotel offers accommodation in fully-equipped apartments. Secure parking is available nearby at a surcharge.

Scuba diving, sailing and snorkelling can be arranged at the front desk. The nearest beach is 900 metres from the hotel. Scooters and bicycles can be rented nearby.

Guestrooms.All six apartments have been refurbished, preserving the original Mediterranean character with stone floors, light wooden furniture, and natural coloured soft furnishings. All bathrooms have shower/tub combinations, bidets, and designer toiletries. The apartments feature kitchenettes, separate living areas, and bedrooms. All apartments include televisions.

Expert Tip. The Biblioteca di Commune di Taormina is located in the former church Chiesa di Sant'Agostino, built in 1448 - a charming and dignified place to retreat for a quiet read.

Distance to Villa II Glicine Residence is 40 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. SAIS Buses run from the airport directly to Taormina. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. A Taxi cost around 80 EUR to the hotel. The hotel offers airport transfer at a surcharge. The price is subject to change.

Getting around. Taormina town centre can be explored by foot. A funicular runs between the center and Massaro bay. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
