Location. The English Bay Inn is located just one block from Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. The park is one of the largest urban parks in the world and features the renowned National Geographic Tree. At 30 meters in diameter it is widely recognized as the largest red cedar in the world. Though the area has been settled for thousands of years, Vancouver itself is a relatively new city, with most of the glass-and-steel high-rises constructed after 1960. Recreational activities in this urban utopia include skiing, sea kayaking, rock climbing, river rafting and mountain biking. Hotel Features. This West End Tudor house offers welcome solace in a unique urban environment. A full breakfast is served by firelight each morning in the dining room. The main sitting room features a fireplace, comfortable furnishings and beautiful antiques.
Guestrooms. Each of the guestrooms are decorated in a distinctive fashion, with turn of the century furnishings, fixtures and moldings. Other features vary depending on the room but may include stained glass windows, fireplaces, jetted tubs and garden balconies. The Private Garden Suite has a kitchenette with refrigerator, range and microwave oven. Cable television is a standard amenity.
Expert Tip. The Storyeum, located two miles from the inn, takes visitors underground via enormous circular elevators. Participants are then led through a series of subterranean theaters where actors portray dramatized events from British Columbia's history.
Rates are based upon double-occupancy. There will be an additional fee of $20 per person, per night collected at check-in for any additional guests.

Travel north on Granville Street (towards the mountains). Cross the Granville Street Bridge into downtown. Take the Pacific Street West exit. Pacific Street becomes Beach Avenue. Remain in the left lane of Beach Avenue. Turn right on Chilco Street. Turn right on Comox Street.
