The Europa City Riga Hotel is housed in a striking, eccentric modern building in central Riga, four kilometres from the shops, bars and restaurants of the vibrant Old Town. The 147 air-conditioned guestrooms have simple modern decor in soft tones, with light-oak wood furniture. All are equipped with telephones, satellite television, wireless Internet connections, safes, minibars and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations.
After breakfast, guests can plan sightseeing itineraries via wireless Internet access. In the evening, guests can relax over cocktails in the lounge bar, or enjoy European dishes in the hotel's minimalist restaurant. Executive travellers can make use of office-support and computer-rental services, and the hotel houses conference rooms equipped with audio-visual facilities. Staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide room service, advise on the area's attractions and arrange dry-cleaning services. Those arriving by car will find a parking garage on site, and the hotel can arrange airport transfers on request (surcharge). The hotel's location means guests are two blocks away from the old town's lively shops, bars and restaurants, and 200 metres from the National Opera. Riga's Harbour is two kilometres away, and the Kipsala Exhibition Centre is four kilometres from the hotel. Riga International Airport is 15 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes. Taxis are readily available from the arrivals terminal and cost approximately 10 EUR to get to the hotel. Alternatively, there are regular bus transfers to the city centre from a stop outside the second level opposite the terminal, behind the car park. The easiest way of getting around the centre of Riga is on foot, but there is a good, cheap public transport system that runs daily to the suburbs. During the night, several trams and trolleybuses run once an hour.

Hotel ist empfehlenswert, aber nicht jedermanns Sache

Gleich neben dem Hotel ist ein moderner Einkaufstempel entstanden. Es gibt alles, was gut und teuer ist. Mein Lieblingseinkaufshit: eine Klobürste für 150 LAT=ca 200 Euro. Dies ist auch der gesetzliche Mindestlohn in Lettland.

Sehr schönes Hotel empfehlenswert ca 1500 m von City

Mit der Straßenbahn in die Altstadt fahren, schöne Architektur, interessante Markthalle, weitläufige Uferpromenade
