Overlooking Le Caudan marina, the Le Suffren Hotel & Marina is a modern property located in the centre of Port Louis, one kilometre from the city's market. The 100 nautically-themed guestrooms are decorated in bright colours with light wood furnishings. Amenities include air conditioning, high-speed Internet connections, satellite television, direct-dial phones, coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryers, minibars, desks and safes.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is available each morning and the hotel restaurant, La Boussole, serves a range of Mauritian dishes in a bright, modern setting. Guests can go for a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool, head out on one of the daily catamaran cruises (surcharge), and round off the day with a drink in the Spinnaker's Bar, equipped with surround sound speakers and plasma screens for watching sports events. There are Tai Chi classes three times a week at the hotel. The hotel also organises a free boat shuttle to the beach four times a week, and a free sundowner harbour cruise twice a week. Practical amenities include laundry services, a 24-hour front desk and multilingual concierge service for sightseeing assistance. Parking at the hotel is free. The Blue Penny Museum, Caudan Shopping Centre and China Town are all within one kilometre and Pailles Exhibition Centre is five kilometres away. Mauritius International Airport (MRU) is 55 kilometres away and takes approximately 40 minutes to reach by car.
