Amsterdam Escape is located in two original Amsterdam canal houses built in 1670 and 1860. Both are located on Nieuwmarkt, one of the main squares in Amsterdam. This central location is surrounded by great bars, coffee shops, restaurants and shops. Dam Square, the very center and heart of Amsterdam, is less than a five-minute walk away, and Central Station is a 10-minute walk. All of the apartments (except two) overlook the famous canals.
Amsterdam Escape is all about being different from the rest. All of the apartments have their own name, style and personality. There is a complimentary PlayStation 2 and games, board games, chess draughts and cards, a large selection of DVDs and videos, and novels. For smokers, each apartment has pipes and other smoking accessories. Babysitting, concierge and business services are available. There are laundry facilities on site, safe-deposit box at the front desk, and parking nearby.

The studio apartments have colorful walls giving them a cozy romantic feeling. The two-bedroom apartments have special features, such as a swinging chair, hammock, Wurlitzer juke box and unusual collector's items. The studio units have a kitchenette and the apartments have a full kitchen. Each apartment is equipped with cable/satellite television with VCR/DVD player, complimentary mini-bar, telephone with free local calls, sofa sleeper, and CD player. A special "Just in Case" box, which includes a toothpaste/toothbrush, shoe laces, sewing kit, safety pins, and first aid kit, is provided.

The Amsterdam Escape apartments are suited for groups of all sizes, from a romantic getaway for two to holiday or business groups wishing to stay together as a group.
