Beschreibung

Location. The Mercure Simson Beach Hotel is located on the west coast of St Martin Island, on Nettle Bay, situated on the French side of the Simpson Bay Lagoon in the Caribbean. Baie Rouge beach is one kilometer away and the centre of Marigot is five kilometers away.
Hotel Features. With Creole architecture and decor, the Mercure Simson Beach Hotel overlooks a private white sandy beach that faces a lagoon. A wet- edge swimming pool is surrounded by palm trees and sun parasols where guests can relax with cocktails from Kote Soley bar. A separate pool is available for children. Nightly entertainment includes karaoke, dance lessons, casino nights, and live Caribbean music.

Situated outdoors and overlooking the lagoon, La Vi Bo Kaye serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, as well as a seafood buffet on Fridays, and a barbecue buffet for lunch on Sundays. Each morning a complimentary breakfast buffet is available.

Water aerobics, beach volleyball, beach soccer, a pool table, tennis, and pedal boat are available, and a water sport base offers a dive centre, jet skis, and water-skiing (all with surcharge).

Guestrooms. The 169 guestrooms at Mercure Simson Beach Saint Martin feature a casual Creole decor featuring tiled floors and rattan or classic-style furniture. The air-conditioned rooms extend to balconies and amenities include wireless Internet access for a fee, flatscreen televisions with satellite channels, safes, and refrigerators.

From St Maarten International-Princess Juliana Airport (SXM):
Distance to the Mercure Simson Beach is 7 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes drive.

Getting there. Taxis are available from outside Arrivals and cost 18 USD to Marigot. A 50 percent extra surcharge is added after midnight. Shuttle vans provide transfers to the hotels in the area. Alternatively, the hotel can organise airport transfers for a surcharge. Price subject to change.

Getting around. Marigot is compact and best explored on foot. A ferry connects the north and south shores of the bay and runs every 15 minutes, day and night. The round-trip fare is 2 USD. Privately-owned buses operate throughout the island and cost 1 USD-1.50 USD, depending on the destination.
