A continental breakfast is available for earlier departures, with prior notice. Guests can also grab a book from the common library, unwind in the common sitting room, or relax by the glowing fireplace. On a warm, breezy, summer day, venture out to the sundeck and let the sun warm your skin while sipping on a cool drink. Guests will find the inn a very relaxing and delightful place to escape to.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the comforting atmosphere of the rooms at The Pond House Inn. Each delicate rooms features air-conditioning, an alarm clock radio, ceiling fan, daily newspaper, telephone, hair dryer, high speed Internet access, modem/data port, smoke detectors, and a VCR/DVD player. After a day's journey, come back to the room, take a relaxing shower with a massage head, throw on a fluffy bathrobe, and relax in with cup of coffee in hand. Only an hour from North Carolina's celebrated Outer Banks, The Pond House Inn is conveniently located on the banks of the Pasquotank River, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Picnic on some private islands, enjoy swimming or fishing off the private dock, or take a romantic canoe ride. Whatever guests decide to do, it's all at The Pond House Inn. Visitors can start by Exploring Elizabeth City's six Historic Districts, admiring the many antebellum mansions and learning of the City's fascinating history, enjoy a play at the Encore Theatre, or the Playhouse of the College of the Albemarle, or shop in the Pasquotank Arts Council Gallery, on Main Street. Enjoy lunch and a decadent dessert at one of Elizabeth City's delightful restaurants, and then returning to the Inn for a nice, quiet nap. Follow the Antiques Trail of North Carolina's Albemarle, finding great bargains at the many antique shops in the area, visit Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial at Kitty Hawk, or explore the wonders of the universe in the Elizabeth City State University Planetarium. For some excitement, take a Good Ole' Days historical harbor tour on the Westwind, journey through the history of the area at the Museum of the Albemarle, spend the day exploring the Outer Banks, or take the Currituck ferry to the winery and visiting the bucolic community of Knotts Island.

915 Rivershore Road, Elizabeth City, NC - From Norfolk Airport: Take I-64 east towards Chesapeake to the Elizabeth City exit. Take HWY 17 south into Elizabeth City. Coming into town, take the Business Route (158 east) which will go to Elizabeth Street. Al Elizabeth Street, turn left and continue to Water Street. Turn right onto Water Street. From Water Street, proceed towards the museum and just past it there will be a light at Shepard Street. Turn left at the light. Continue straight ahead, the street name changes to Riverside Avenue, to the dead end sign. Turn right at the sign, Raleigh Street, and continue for three blocks then turn left at Fairfax Avenue. Continue on Fairfax Avenue for two blocks until the Rivershore Road. Turn right onto Rivershore and take the first driveway into the inn. There will be a sign.
