The palatial Hotel Imperial is located one block from the Haus der Musik, two blocks from the shops along Kärntnerstrasse, and four blocks from the Stadtpark's memorials and gardens. It has 138 air-conditioned guestrooms over five floors, all of which include antique rococo furnishings, silk wallpaper, original oil paintings, chandeliers, bedding and drapes are in rich brocades, and marble bathrooms with heated floors. All rooms come equipped with wireless Internet, satellite television, CD players, safes, minibars and complimentary newspapers
Built in 1863, the hotel's public areas still reflect its past. Chandeliers hang from the ceilings, corridors are decorated with marble columns, period grandfather clocks, chandeliers, and gilt mirrors - there are even chandeliers in the changing room of the hotel's compact gym. The rococo theme extends to the wood-panelled Restaurant Imperial and the hotel's secluded Maria Theresia Bar, while the Cafe Imperial serves specialities like Imperial Torte and Viennese coffee with live piano music in the afternoons. Guests can prepare for a night at the opera with a trip to the onsite hair salon, and there are seven function rooms, including a grand festival hall, which can be used for meetings or events. The onsite business centre has two computers with flatscreen monitors, printers, phones, and a photocopier. Motorists will find valet parking or the hotel can arrange an airport transfer. The hotel is adjacent to the Musikverein concert hall, the State Opera is two blocks away and the Hofburg Imperial Palace is one kilometre from the hotel. Many more of the city's top attractions are in close proximity. Vienna International Airport is 16 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

Anfahrt

The airport bus connects with the city's underground system at Westbanhof train station and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Taxis run from the airport to the city centre and a fare will cost approximately 35 EUR. The U-Bahn underground system along with the bus and tram network reaches all parts of the city. The closest Underground station is Karlsplatz. The hotel can also order taxis and limousines on request. From the airport head towards Vienna on the motorway and take the city centre exit. After passing the observatory turn left across the bridge and follow the Ringstrasse road. The hotel is approximately one kilometre ahead on the left.
