The Mandarin Oriental Hotel du Rhone is a stunning, luxurious property situated on the banks of the River Rhone in Geneva's shopping and business district. This seven-storey hotel features 190 art-deco style rooms in light earth tones with pear wood furniture and large windows. All include armchairs with footrests or two- seater sofas, coffee tables, satellite television, high- speed Internet access, air conditioning and two-line telephones. Greek marble bathrooms have separate showers and baths, luxury towels, bathrobes and complimentary, designer toiletries.
The hotel's Le Neptune restaurant serves an à la carte modern menu, with original touches that marry together Asian and European influences and mouth-watering seafood. It also boasts one of the most complete wine cellars in Switzerland, with a strong emphasis on local wines. The Café Rafael is a smart-casual brasserie featuring an art deco interior with calming water fountains, overlooking the Rhone with a terrace for outdoor dining. Guests can work out in the gym and fitness centre, unwind with a massage and a session in the steam room, and relax in Le Bar with a cocktail, while taking in views of the River Rhone and listening to live piano music. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for guests with laptops, and the hotel also offers computer and cell phone rental, as well as a business centre and meeting rooms. Further practical amenities include a 24- hour front desk, concierge services, all-hours room service and secure, valet parking for guests with cars. The hotel is in the centre of bustling Geneva and is well placed for seeing its many sights; the Old Town and the Jet d'Eau Fountain are only 500 metres away, and the Patek Philippe Museum and Bastions Park are two kilometres from the hotel. Geneva International Airport is an approximate driving time of 15 minutes, a distance of 15 kilometres (nine miles).

Anfahrt

Geneva Airport railway station is 300 metres from the Departures and Arrivals floors; trains stop at Geneva- Cornavin (city centre) and run every 20 minutes. Taking a taxi is the most convenient way to get to the hotel from the airport. There is a bus service available from the airport that arrives at the central bus station which is a short walk from the hotel. Alternatively guests can take a train to the central station again a short walk to the hotel. The best way to get around is by train.
Driving directions: From the airport take the Route de l'Aeroport for 100 metres, turn left and continue for 100 metres. Take the next right onto the Route de Pre-Bois for 200 metres. Pass Cointrin and continue for two kilometres along Route de Pre-Bois. Turn right onto Avenue Louis Casai towards Geneva. Take Route de Meyrin, then Rue de la Servette and turn left at Boulevard James Fazy. Take the next left at Rue de Chantepouler, turn left again at James Fazy/1, then left again at Rue des Terreaux du Temple/1. Turn right onto Rue du Temple and the hotel is on the right.
