The Rex Swiss Quality Hotel is a modern hotel with a pink façade, set in the centre of Zurich, 1.5 kilometres from Bahnhofstrasse, the city's main shopping avenue. This two-floor property features 38 guestrooms with light, modern decor, carpeted floors and contemporary furnishings. All include cable television, direct-dial phones, safes, wireless Internet access and minibars.
The hotel's restaurant serves fresh, seasonal European cuisine in a stylish, contemporary environment and can cater for special events for up to 35 people. Guests can start the day with breakfast in the modern restaurant, and order snacks and drinks from the hotel's room service menu. Guests arriv ing by car can use onsite parking (surcharge applies), and other practical amenities include safe-deposit boxes and laundry facilities. The hotel is close to many of the city's main attractions; it is 700 metres from the Swiss National Museum, and two kilometres from the zoo. Zurich International Airport is ten kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.

The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B; fare to city centre is approximately 50 CHF (35 EUR). The bus terminal is located adjacent to car park B; ten regular bus lines serve regional towns and villages. The hotel is in the city centre and many attractions can be reached on foot. Zurich is easy to navigate using a modern, user-friendly network of trans and buses operating from 5.30 AM to midnight. Tickets must be bought before boarding and validated immediately. A travel pass, the Tageskarte, is valid on all buses and trams for 24 hours. Taxis can be hailed in the street but are expensive. Getting around by car is not recommended due to congestion and expensive car parking.
