The modern Hotel Barcelo V Centenario is set in a quiet residential area, two kilometres from Caceres' historic centre with its squares and palaces, in northern Extremadura. The 138 guestrooms are decorated in light colours with bright floral fabrics. All are air- conditioned and include minibars, wireless Internet, video-game consoles, satellite television with pay movies, safes, and complimentary newspapers. Bathrooms come with hair dryers, bidets and complimentary toiletries.
Guests can enjoy a dip in the outdoor pool with its separate children's area. The pool is bordered by a terrace where barbecues are held during the summer months. The best way to reach the hotel is by car or train. Caceres train station is two kilometres from the hotel. The centre of Caceres is compact and best explored on foot.
From Madrid airport take the A5 motorway until Trujillo (about 240 kilometres from the airport), and then head on to route 521 to Caceres.
