The Melia Sancti Petri is a grand hotel inspired by Moorish architecture, with its own private 18-hole golf course. It is located on the Playa Barrosa Beach on the Atlantic Costa de la Luz, eight kilometres from Chiclana de la Frontera. The 225 guestrooms, over three floors, feature traditional, colourful Moorish decor and terracotta floors. All offer balconies or terraces with sea, golf course or pool views, air conditioning, direct- dial phones, satellite television, dial-up Internet access, safes, desks, minibars and free bottled water. Marble bathrooms have complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers. Wake-up calls and welcome amenities are available on request.
The hotel offers three dining options: Restaurante El Patio serves a buffet in colourful, Moorish surroundings, featuring arches, greenery and a soothing fountain; Restaurante San Marco serves Mediterranean and local cuisine from an à la carte menu, with large windows overlooking the pool and gardens, and the formal Restaurante Alhambra has a choice of international cuisine. Guests can swim in the large pool, order cocktails from the bar, work out in the gym, and take part in organised sports and activities. Kids can join the supervised Mini Club, while adults enjoy the indoor pool, jetted tub, steam room, sauna and massage treatments. The hotel has many recreational and sports activities to choose from: an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts and large swimming pools. There are also water sports on the 12-kilometre beach, such as diving, windsurfing, parasailing and fishing. There is 24-hour room service, and shows, parties, discos and other entertainment programmes every evening. Practical amenities include multilingual staff, a 24-hour front desk, a concierge desk, and free parking for those arriving by car. The hotel's location means that guests are 30 kilometres from Cadiz and its tourist sites, 60 kilometres from Jerez de la Frontera, and 130 kilometres from Seville city centre. Jerez de la Frontera La Parra Airport is 60 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.
