Beschreibung

Location. The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort and Spa is located in the Golf Valley on the Costa del Sol, ten kilometres from Mijas, Spain, and within seven kilometres of the beachside resort of Fuengirola.
Hotel Features. Adjacent to two 18-hole golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, The Radisson SAS is a luxury property with a contemporary ambiance and bright decor. Spa facilities include indoor swimming pool, spa tub, sauna, Turkish bath and massage and spa treatment rooms. A hair salon, currency exchange and childcare services are also available.

Restaurant Itaca features a Mediterranean buffet while Restaurant Scratch has an a la carte menu offering a selection of Italian favourites. Both restaurants have views of the coast and the mountains. Drinks and light snacks are also available at the poolside Bar La Pergola and Bar Birdie. Room service is provided around the clock.

Business services include meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment and high-speed Internet access.

Recreational activities that can be arranged in the vicinity include water sports such as sailing, scuba diving, fishing and windsurfing.

Guestrooms. The 105 air-conditioned guestrooms at The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort and Spa have bright decor with stylish furnishings. All rooms have balconies and are equipped with LCD satellite television, direct-dial telephones, complimentary high- speed Internet connections, minibars and safes. Private bathrooms have bidets, combined shower and baths and hair dryers. In-room childcare is available.

Expert Tip. The Picasso Museum in Malaga contains some of the artist's most important works. Admission is free on the last Sunday of the month, between 3 PM and 8 PM. For each stay of a minimum of two nights between 1st April and 31st May 2008, free access to the thermal area of the hotel spa is included. Access is limited to one session per person per stay.

From Malaga Airport (AGP):
Distance to The Radisson SAS El Marques Resort and Spa is 27 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Trains run between the airport train station and central Malaga station every 30 minutes. Trains also run along the coast to the Torremolinos and Fuengirola resorts. Tickets are approximately 2 EUR. The number 19 bus runs every 30 minutes to Malaga's city bus terminal. Tickets cost 1 EUR. The Marbella bus runs to Marbella's city bus station every 45 minutes. Single tickets cost around 4 EUR. There is a taxi rank outside the airport terminal. Fares are approximately 45 EUR to the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Driving is not recommended in the major town centres, however, hiring a car is useful for exploring the coast and locations further inland. There is limited transport between the

Driving directions. Leaving Malaga Airport, follow directions to Algeciras/Cadiz.
Once on the motorway, drive approximately one kilometre and take the exit on the right to Highway E-15/A-7, towards Algeciras/Cadiz.
Continue for about 15 minutes, passing several exits.
After the exit for Mijas/Benalmadena Pueblo and coming to a fork in the road, take the exit on the right towards Fuengirola.
Continue straight on for about four kilometres until reaching the exit for Fuengirola/Cambio de Sentido/Coin.
At the roundabout, take the first exit to Camino de Coin.
Pass two petrol stations and drive four kilometres, turning left towards Venta La Morena.
After 600 metres, the entrance to Mijas Golf Courses will be on the right.
Carry on through the golf courses to a roundabout called Plaza Costa del Sol.
Take the first exit on the right into Avenida Gran Bretana and continue to the top of the hill.
