The Melia Costa del Sol is a large, modern complex located on the Playa Bajondillo on the Costa del Sol, 500 metres from lively Torremolinos. The 540 guestrooms, over 10 floors, feature simple, modern decor, colourful fabrics, and wood and iron furniture. All include balconies, air conditioning, direct-dial phones, satellite television, wireless Internet access, desks, safes and minibars. Bathrooms have hair dryers and makeup mirrors. Wake-up calls are available on request, and the half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The hotel offers two dining options: the traditional- style Torremolinos Restaurant offers a choice of international cuisine with themed buffets and sea views; and La Proa Snack Bar and Cafeteria serves typical regional cuisine and tapas dishes, with a terrace area for outdoor dining. Guests can relax with a drink in the lounge, browse free newspapers in the lobby, and use high-speed Internet access in public areas. There is also a pool with loungers and parasols, a gym, and an extensive Health Spa complete with sauna, steam bath, massage treatments and jetted tub. The hotel offers many activities, including: stretching sessions, water aerobics, carbine shooting, archery, table tennis, Paella-cooking lessons and a supervised Mini Club for children. Guests can also enjoy water sports at the beach from motor boating, sailing and windsurfing to water skiing. There are tennis courts and an 18-hole golf course nearby. The multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can advise on sightseeing opportunities and offer a safe-deposit box for valuables. There is also free parking. The hotel's location means that guests are two kilometres from the Benalmadena Marina nightlife, and 12 kilometres from Malaga city centre. Malaga International Airport is six kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.

Anfahrt

Taxis are readily available from the Arrivals terminal and cost approximately 14 EUR to the hotel. Alternatively trains run to Torremolinos station, 500 metres from the hotel. Guests are strongly advised to hire a car in order to explore the surrounding areas of the Costa del Sol, because public transport is limited and taxis are expensive and difficult to find.
Driving directions: From the airport follow directions for Torremolinos town centre. Once there follow signs for Bajondillo Playa (beach).
