Location. Sandals Halcyon Beach Inclusive resort stands along a 300-meter stretch of thatch-shaded Caribbean beach in Castries, the capital city of St. Lucia. Tourist destinations include the Rodney Bay shops located 10 kilometers from the resort. Hotel Features. This adults-only, couples-only resort features flower-painted beams, garden botanical signs, hammock chairs and an open-air lobby with brightly colored banquettes. As part of the resort's All-Inclusive Plan, guests are entitled to dine and use the facilities at Sandals' other two St. Lucia resorts. Complimentary shuttle service connects the properties. A total of 10 on-site dining options includes the Bayside Restaurant that serves buffet breakfasts with cooked-to-order omelettes. Mario's Restaurant features white-glove service and prepares Italian cuisine. Sue's Piano Bar, poolside bars and a beach bar serve international and domestic drinks. Recreation includes a freeform pool that serves as an activity center and is bordered by a 10-person spa tub. A second pool winds beneath bridges and features a terracotta-tile sundeck and spa tub. Watercraft and snorkeling gear are complimentary, whereas scuba-diving excursions to Martinique and scuba-certification courses are offered for a fee. Nearby scuba-diving trips are complimentary. Land-based sports include tennis, basketball, volleyball, lawn chess and shuffleboard. Guests are entitled to use the 9-hole golf course located at a nearby partner property. An open-air fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight machines, and free weights.
Guestrooms. This resort offers 170 guestrooms distributed among one- and two-story buildings without elevators. Expansive patios and balconies with fieldstone walls feature two-chair dining sets. Décor includes bleached-wood ceilings, terrazzo-tile floors with Asian area rugs, pastel walls, mocha-toned furniture and floral bedspreads. Bath suites include shower/tub combinations and vanity alcoves.
Expert Tip. Unlike most Sandals properties, the Sandals Halcyon Beach All Inclusive is constructed on level ground making this location more suitable for those whose mobility is restricted.
