Beschreibung

This modernized 1920s hotel faces the ocean on Beach Road and is located on Cape Town's famous Platinum Mile, 10 kilometers from Clifton Beach. The air-conditioned guestrooms feature modern décor with antique-style furniture and floral fabrics. All include cable television, telephones, safes, Internet connections and tea and coffee making facilities.
Hotel guests can relax with loungers and parasols on the decked sun terrace that surrounds the heated outdoor swimming pool, and indulge in a range of Far Eastern influenced treatments and massages in the spa. Dining options include a selection of international dishes in an eatery which incorporates a formal restaurant, a bar with a sea facing terrace, and a courtyard encircled by palm trees and fountains. Sunday brunch at the restaurant is accompanied by live jazz performances. The hotel has onsite parking (fee), and can organize air and ground travel arrangements, and scenic tours of the Cape Peninsula and beyond. Facilities for business guests include well-equipped conference rooms and secretarial services. Guests can also browse in the onsite gift shop for postcards or souvenirs and check their email in the Internet corner. At reception, guests can get day passes for the nearby gym and fitness center (fee), which include hiking trails and rollerblading along the seafront promenades. Mountain climbs, shark diving, paragliding and deep sea fishing excursions can also be arranged through the hotel. Those wishing to explore the area have the famous Clifton beach and Table Mountain, within 10 kilometers of the hotel. Cape Town International airport is 22 kilometers away. The hotel can organize a shuttle service to/from the airport by prior arrangement. Taxis are readily available at the airport and the journey to the hotel vicinity takes approximately 20 minutes. It is advisable to use the authorized airport taxi company: Touch Down Taxis.

Anfahrt

From the airport, follow exit signs for the N2 towards Cape Town. Proceed for approximately 20 km until the city centre is visible on the left. Take the right hand lane onto the flyover, passing the harbour and the city center. Cross over the first set of traffic lights and at the second set of traffic lights turn right for the M6 to Sea Point. Stay in the left lane until reaching a roundabout, take the second turn and head straight. Cross straight over 3 sets of traffic lights. The hotel is on the left.

Allein vom Baustil ist es sicher eines der schönsten Hotels Kapstadts

Für die letzen zwei Tage unseres Südafrikatrips war es ein schöner Ausklang in diesem Hotel und wir waren mit allem äußerst zufrieden und können es nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten uns bei der Buchung geirrt und sind einen Tag zu spät angereist. Ohne weitere Probleme und Kosten ist uns ein Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt worden.
