Anfahrt
From Cape Town International Airport (CPT): Distance to the Bay Hotel is 30 kilometres, approximately 35 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The hotel provides chauffeur-driven hotel transfers for a surcharge. Taxis are available from the airport's authorised taxi company, Touch Down. Travellers are advised not to use unauthorised taxis. The fare to the city centre is approximately 200 ZAR. Door-to-door shuttle buses are available, and can be pre-booked at Arrivals. Price is subject to change.
Getting around. Trains and buses run throughout the city, but driving is the best way to get around. Many attractions are clearly signposted, but parking can be difficult. Taxis are available but can be expensive.
Driving directions. From Cape Town International Airport. Follow the road signs towards Cape Town (N2 highway), until reaching the mountain and the city. Drive up a long hill with Groote Schuur Hospital to the right. At the top of the hill, the road divides into Eastern Boulevard (N2) and De Waal Drive; follow the Eastern Boulevard (N2) sign. Continue driving to a set of traffic lights and go straight to next traffic lights. Continue straight on this road, which becomes Buitengracht Road. Follow this road through Cape Town and up the hill until it becomes Kloof Nek Road. Continue past the Cable Way turnoff, following signs for Camps Bay. Take the second right into Geneva Drive. Follow the winding road down the hill until reaching The Drive at the traffic lights, and turn right into the Victoria road.
