Beschreibung

Location. The Delphin Hotels & Resorts Hôtel EL HABIB is set in Monastir, Tunisia, within one kilometre of Monastir marina and the Bourguiba Mausoleum. It is within eight kilometres of Habib Bourguiba Airport, and just 800 metres from the main Monastir train station.
Hotel Features. The hotel is a modern property which arcs around a central swimming pool surrounded by gardens and palm trees. Situated on its own private beach, there is an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a separate children's pool. There's also a hotel nightclub, while daytime amenities include a massage treatment room and hair salon.

The Delphin EL HABIB has a welcoming bar, a piano bar and an Andaluz corner. The main restaurant serves buffet-style meals and à la carte options. There is a snack bar and pizzeria by the pool. Breakfast and dinner are included for guests on a half-board rate. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily.

Business services include meeting rooms.

There are opportunities for aerobics and tennis at the hotel, while scooters and water sports are available nearby. Both of Monastir's golf courses are located within about 12 kilometres of the hotel.

Guestrooms. There are 200 guestrooms built over five floors at Delphin EL HAHIB. All open onto balconies, and include satellite television, safes and telephones. Bathrooms include hair dryers and bidets. The hotel offers a half-board rate.

Expert Tip. President Bourguiba designed his own mausoleum before he died in 2000, so it's a fairly modern construction but still worth a visit. Guide books are likely to say it isn't open to tourists, but turn right at the main gates and follow the path around to a side entrance. Chances are there will be a couple of guides that will be happy to show you around for a tip.

From Monastir Airport (MIR):
Distance to Oasis El Habib is eight kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The best way to get to the hotel is by taxi or train. Taxis wait outside arrivals and cost 3 TND to Monastir city. A fee is added for luggage and prices are higher after 9 p.m. Prices are all subject to change. Trains run to Monastir train station which is five minutes walks from the hotel. A bus also leaves the airport hourly for central Monastir. The journey time is 30 minutes and single tickets cost 0.50 TND. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Monastir can be explored by taxi or on foot. Horse-drawn carriages are available throughout the city. Trains run from Monastir to Mahdia, Tunis, and Sousse. A car is recommended for travelling further afield.

Driving directions. From the airport take a right in the direction of Monastir centre.
Follow the signs to the Marina.
At the marina drive straight and take the second on the right and continue for the hotel.
