Location.The Mercure Sfax is a contemporary seven- storey hotel with North African styling and is located above a shopping centre in the centre of the Tunisian city of Sfax. It is just one kilometre from the old harbour and six kilometres from Thyna's archaeological site. Sfax Thyna International Airport is 10 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Hotel Features.Staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer currency exchange and the use of a safe-deposit box and there is also a separate concierge desk for booking tours, tickets and reservations. Leisure facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a nightclub, while the air-conditioned public areas offer complimentary Internet access. Event catering, a business centre and free parking are also available.

The Mercure Sfax features Restaurant Ediwane which offers an à la carte menu featuring Tunisian cuisine and international dishes, and Bar Africa which serves a wide range of drinks and light meals.

Guestrooms. The 130 guestrooms, over seven floors, have light decor, contemporary furnishings and sliding glass doors leading to balconies. All are equipped with satellite television, direct-dial phones, Internet connections (surcharge), climate control, minibars, complimentary bottled water and refrigerators. Bathrooms have bathrobes and hair dryers, and in-room massage is available.
