Location. The Alexandra Resort is located on a powdery white-sand beach on Grace Bay in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. Snorkeling and scuba diving at the White House Reef are less than one kilometer from the property. Turtle Cove's restaurants and marina are less than five kilometers away. Sailing cruises, fishing, snorkeling and scuba-diving charters, parasailing and windsurfing are available in downtown Providenciales, located seven kilometers from the property.
Features. This beachfront resort with a private beach offers water sport, snorkeling and scuba diving rentals. Cushioned teak lounge chairs surround a 125-foot, free-form pool with a swim-up bar and a children's pool. The Orchid, an al fresco restaurant specializing in international and Caribbean cuisine, serves Shrimp Bisque, Grilled Grouper, Conch Fritters and Saffron Mussels. The Beachfront Dining Deck, overlooking Grace Bay, features signature dishes such as the Provo Island Seafood Delight, cocktails and sunset views. Monday evening Caribbean Cookouts offer seafood, grilled chicken, jerked pork loin and live Caribbean music. The resort features two lighted tennis courts and a beachfront fitness center. The tour desk offers full- and half-day trips to the surrounding cays and the rock iguana island, snorkeling in the coral barrier reefs, fishing charters and scuba diving for fresh conch. Depending on the tour, guides provide refreshments on board or lunches on a secluded beach.

Guestrooms. The Alexandra Resort offers 105 non-smoking studios and suites in four- and five-story buildings. All suites feature fully equipped kitchens, living areas with sofa beds and dining areas. Studios offer kitchenettes with microwave ovens and mini fridges. Deluxe and luxury accommodations feature designer teak furniture, porcelain-tile floors, feather-top mattresses and Egyptian cotton linens. Superior units feature rattan furniture. Complimentary wireless Internet access is offered in the luxury and deluxe accommodations, and dial-up Internet access is available in the superior suites and studios. All units are equipped with cable television, DVD players and air conditioning. Bathrooms are stocked with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Balconies or patios offer ceiling fans, lounge chairs and dining sets.

Expert Tip. The Provo Golf & Country Club offers a championship 18-hole golf course adjacent to the resort.
