Location. The Hyatt Regency Kiev is located in Kiev, Ukraine, within 100 metres of Saint Sophia Cathedral, 300 metres from the boutiques on Kreshchatyk Street, and one kilometre of the Museum of Russian Art.
Hotel Features. The hotel is a modern, air- conditioned property located in the centre of Kiev, overlooking the Old City. There is an indoor pool and fitness centre, as well as spa services which include massage. Multilingual staff can arrange room service at any hour, and other amenities include concierge services, currency exchange and express check-in and check-out. Secure garage parking is also offered.

The Regency Kiev main restaurant, Grill Asia, serves Asian and European dishes, while Bar 8, which opens out onto a terrace, serves European dishes. The lobby lounge serves European and Ukrainian specialities with a selection of premium brandies and Cognacs. There is also a wine bar offering an extensive selection.

Business facilities include a business centre, computer rental and secretarial and translation services. There are also conference and meeting rooms.

On site recreation includes aerobics, tennis, swimming and yoga.

Guestrooms. The Hyatt Regency Kiev has 234 guestrooms and suites built over 10 floors. All are equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharge), multi-line telephones with voice mail, satellite television with pay movies, safes, individual climate control systems and automated minibars. Bathrooms have under-floor heating, and include bathrobes and designer toiletries. Hypo-allergenic bedding is also available.

Expert Tip. Ukrainian food is made to be filling, so make sure you're ready to eat. Influenced by the German, Turkish, Russian and Polish, ingredients such as pork, fruit, mushrooms and berries all play a large part. One particular delicacy to look out for is varenyky, which are boiled dumplings filled with potatoes, cabbage, cheese or fruit.

From Kiev Airport (KBP):
Distance to Hyatt Regency Kiev is 40 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A shuttle-bus runs from the airport to the centre of Kiev. Taxi desks are located to the left of the main entrance of B terminal and cost approximately 300 UAH to the hotel. Ask the taxi driver for the city centre, next to Saint Sophia cathedral. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. Kiev is a big city with good public transport, including a metro system. Buses, trolleybuses and trams are popular and cheap ways to get around. Taxis can be ordered by phone or on the street. The official rate is about 1 UAH per kilometre. A good alternative to a taxi can be a private, non-metered car hailed in the street. These are cheaper, but negotiate the price beforehand, as many drivers do not speak English. Trains from the central train station in Kiev access most of the Ukraine. Prices subject to change.
