Location. Cherished Memories B&B in Cedar City, Utah, is located a short two blocks from Southern Utah University and historic downtown Cedar City. Guests at the Cherished Memories B&B have access to the university pool, racquetball courts, and an indoor track. Cedar Ridge Golf Course, located five blocks from the inn, offers 18 holes of golf against the mountain backdrop. Cedar Breaks National Monument is a 30-mile drive and perfect for a day trip. Fine art galleries are to be found at both the university and in Cedar City. Hotel Features. The Cherished Memories B&B was constructed in the early twentieth century by a pioneer couple, and retains many of the original details from that time, including its gingerbread trim, high-pitched rooflines and beautiful symmetry. The pine floors and many of the light fixtures and windows are also original. The sweet smells of a homemade breakfast, served in the formal dining room or on the sundeck, weather permitting, permeates the house each morning. A common sitting room provides a venue for relaxation.
Guestrooms. These non-smoking guestrooms, decorated in pastels and lace, strive to bring back memories of Grandma's house and childhood. All guestrooms offer private baths, some en-suite, with fresh towels, shampoo and additional toiletries. A portable television/DVD player is available for in-room movies.
Expert Tip. Guests will notice that the pine doors, frames and floor boards are grain painted to resemble maple. This was done by the original owners of the house, and was a common technique used on wood during the early pioneer days.
Children under the age of 8 can be accommodated only with prior approval from the innkeeper. Prior innkeeper approval will also be required for guests wishing to bring a pet. Guests must contact the customer service center at 800-627-7019 to receive the number to call to make advance arrangements with the innkeeper.
