Location. The Copthorne Hotel Dubai is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 200 metres from the Deira shopping mall, and two kilometres from the Dubai Creek Side Park. Dubai Airport is five kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. A contemporary 13-storey property affording views over Dubai Creek and the city, the Copthorne Hotel Dubai offers a full-service health spa, complete with a fitness suite, sauna, and steam room. Beauty services and massage are also available. The temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool features an adjacent sun terrace. The hotel also houses a gift shop and a hair salon. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk offer tour assistance, currency exchange, and all-hours room service. Motorists can make use of a valet-parking service on arrival.

The Copthorne Hotel Dubai offers three restaurants: Crystal features a glass ceiling and offers a menu of international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Gazebo Terrace offers al fresco Arabic dining by the pool. The Choices Cafe serves ecoffee, tea and light meals from mid-morning into the evening. Alcoholic beverages are not served in the restaurants or through room service.

Dubai Creek offers opportunities for water sports. The nearest golf course is two kilometres from the hotel.

Guestrooms. The 163 air-conditioned guestrooms at the Hotel Copthorne Dubai are decorated in a contemporary minimalist style, characterised by ebony wood and warm, natural colours. All are equipped with plasma-screen televisions with satellite channels, wireless Internet, direct-dial telephones, minibars, microwave ovens, bottled water, and coffee and tea facilities. Bathrooms offer showers, bathrobes and slippers, and designer toiletries.

Expert Tip. The narrow lanes of the old Bastakiya district offer a glimpse of old Dubai. The largest concentration of traditional courtyard houses with wind towers can be found immediately to the east of Al Fahidi Fort.

Distance to Copthorne Hotel Dubai is five kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Pre-paid taxis can be found at Terminal 1's Arrivals hall, and the fare to the hotel is approximately 50 AED. Limousines can be hired in the Arrivals hall. Buses run to the city centre every 10 minutes from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Bus stations are located opposite Terminals 1 and 2. Buses 44, 33, 15, 11, and 4 run to the city centre from Terminal 1, passing near to most major hotels. Bus number 2 runs to the city centre from Terminal 2, also passing near to most major hotels. Buses depart approximately every 20-30 minutes, and a single ticket costs 2 AED. The hotel offers airport transfers for a surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Public buses offer a reasonable service between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Buses travel from Bur Dubai station, on Al-Ghubaiba road, and Deira bus station, near the gold souk. Buses have separate seated sections for women and men, with women typically sitting near the front. Travellers should pay the correct fare to the driver. In older parts of Dubai, small wooden motorboats cross over Dubai Creek between early morning and midnight. Air-conditioned taxis are efficient, cheap and safe, and can be pre-booked by telephone or hailed in the street.
