Location. The Alva Elcothea Hotel Apartments is located in the centre of Protaras, Cyprus, 250 metres from Fig Tree Bay Beach, and 10 kilometres from the lively resort of Agia Napa. Hotel Features. The Alva Elcothea is comprised of 85 studios and one-bedroom and apartments spread between two modern buildings. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool with poolside bar, sun terrace, children's pool, playground, games room and tennis court. Currency exchange and safe-deposit boxes are available from the front desk and there is a television in the lobby where guests can relax. Laundry services, as well as a self-service laundrette are available.
The onsite Cafe Parko has indoor and garden seating and serves local and international dishes for lunch and dinner. Children's and vegetarian menus are available and there is live music at least once a week. The Alva Pool Bar serves breakfast and lunch, with burgers, drinks and snacks available throughout the day.
A variety of water sports can be arranged at the popular Fig Tree Bay including boating, windsurfing, jet skiing and paragliding.
Guestrooms. All apartments are simply furnished and have balconies, fully equipped kitchenettes and private bathrooms. Decor is bright and clean. Televisions are available (surcharge).
Expert Tip. Agia Napa (10 kilometres away) is best known for its throbbing nightlife, however it also has a monastery dating back to 1500.

From Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Distance to Alva Elcothea is 60 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis from the airport cost around 30 CYP to Protaras. Buses 22, 19 and 24 run to Larnaca city centre and intercity buses run between major resorts and the airport. No buses run on Sundays. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The best way to explore Cyprus is by car. Towns and villages are connected by public buses, with tickets being relatively cheap. The government regulates taxi fares.
