Location. The Antigoni Hotel is a modern resort property situated in the centre of Protaras, just 100 metres walk from bars, restaurants and shops. The golden sandy beach is 300 metres away. Larnaca International Airport is 50 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 75 minutes. Hotel Features.The hotel has a free-form lagoon swimming pool with sun beds, parasols, and a poolside bar. It also features weekly cabaret, folklore shows and karaoke nights. Other activities include wine tasting, bingo and cooking demonstrations. There is also a gym, an indoor pool, massage, a sauna, a spa tub and a steam room, high-speed Internet connections in the lobby and free parking.
The hotel has two restaurants: the Electra Restaurant which offers a large buffet with a wide choice of soups, starters, main courses and desserts, and the Dionyssos Restaurant, a modern á la carte eatery serving Mediterranean dishes and regional specialties.
The hotel has tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. Guests can also enjoy table tennis, pool and billiards in the games room. There is a squash court, and aerobics and aqua aerobics are held at the pool.
Guestrooms. Antigoni Hotel offers 172 air-conditioned guestrooms located on four floors, which have light, modern decor. All include televisions, phones, hair dryers, safes and minibars. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
Expert Tip. The town of Ayia Napa, famous for its nightlife, is eight kilometres from the hotel. The town is also home to Nissi Beach, a sandy beach where windsurfing, jet skiing and parasailing can be enjoyed. There is a water park, and cultural attractions include the old harbour and 16th-century Monastery.
Getting there.The best way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi. A taxi should cost approximately 30-40 CYP. Intercity buses also connect the airport with all major towns and cities in Cyprus. The town of Protaras can be easily explored on foot. Buses are reasonably priced and connect most of the main points on the island. Alternatively, many visitors choose to rent bicycles to explore the island's attractions. A hire car would be useful for trips further afield.
